Art of Visuals Podcast Feature

I spent almost a year working as the VP of Marketing for Art of Visuals, an incredible company supporting and inspiring one of the largest communities of photographers/videographers/creators in the world. I was so honored to work alongside the CEO Prince McClinton and an incredible team and help launch Art of Visuals into the digital advertising agency space. Working for AOV taught me so much about building a business, and a different type of business than I’ve ever built before, a bigger one with more people, more clients and more to offer.

Art of Visuals is an Instagram influencer account, but it’s so much more than that, it’s also a digital advertising agency and in my time working there Prince and I brought on and worked with incredible clients, including, Sony Alpha, Adorama, Viewsonic, Peak Design, Holdfast, Incase, Vanguard, Gnarbox, Coalatree, Langly and UAG.

In October I did a podcast with Prince about how I successfully built my photography business and what I would recommend to other photographers looking to build their own photography business. I hope you enjoy listening and I’d love any feedback on it. Here it is: Art of Visuals x Bryan Rupp

Boise Family Photographer

Had such a wonderful time taking photos of these families in Boise. This shoot was extra special to me because we are very close friends with one of these families, and anytime I take photos of people that I love it brings special meaning to my work, reminds me what’s so wonderful about photos and the way they stop time, and keeps being a photographer meaningful for me.

We took these photos at Veterans Memorial Park, which is a suprisingly amazing location. I had scouted it and another location and landed on Veterans Memorial because of the consistent shade (for our 3p.m. shoot), and because I knew it would be an easy and great spot for kids to hang out (there were three families and three children at this shoot).

C and A families, thank you so much for hiring me to take these photos, I had such a wonderful time hanging out with you all for the afternoon.

The Barn on Jackson Wedding | Haley + Quaanan

I had such a hard time narrowing down these photos, and I still probably should’ve spent more time narrowing them down, but at some point you’ve just got to move on. The reason I had a hard time narrowing these down is because of all the joy in these photos, so much emotion and beauty, you can really tell how happy this group of people is to be together, celebrating the love of Haley and Quaanan.

We also lucked out, because it rained really hard during their ceremony and reception, but cleared up both times when we were taking couples photos. I love the sound of rain, and it was really fun to be tucked inside The Barn on Jackson as the storm raged outside. I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story, but be prepared for the tingly feeling.
