Boise Family Photographer | The L Family

The weather is getting nicer in Boise and I’m so excited to get out there and start shooting some family shoots. As a dad, I’ve seen how quickly life passes with children (Pearl is 6 and Wellington is 8, YIKES!) and it means a lot to me to get to take photographs of families, to pause these moments in time so that they’ll never forget them. I love that being a family photographer can combine my journey as a dad and a photographer, and make something meaningful for the families that I work with.

This is one of my favorite family shoots in Boise, we spent a couple of hours roaming the foothills, and watching the sun finally sink below the horizon. The light was warm and beautiful and so inspiring for capturing this family and showing the beauty of each person and their relationships.

Barn on Jackson Wedding | Haley + Quaanan

Spent an incredible day with Haley and Quaanan at the Barn on Jackson in Chehalis, Washington. In typical PNW style, the rain came and went, but luckily we caught a few windows of time where we were able to get outside and take some photos of the couple together. This wedding was so full of joy and a beautiful representation of Haley and Quaanan’s lives coming together. Coordination by Amy Ha. This is just a small preview, full post to come….


Boise Wedding Photographer | Idaho Light

Looking forward to summertime, warmth and weddings. I shoot weddings in both Boise and Portland, and here’s a few of my favorite images from shoots in Boise. After shooting full time for so many years in Portland, where the light tends to have a green tint (from all of the beautiful trees and greenery), the desert light in boise is light, airy and refreshing and if I had to choose, I’d choose desert light 95% of the time.
