Hilliary and Kamren are like a warm cup of tea, they're super friendly and comforting to be around I've enjoyed all of the time I've spent with them very much.  I spent a wonderful day with them and their friends and family at Vista Hills Vineyard for their wedding.

Willamette Valley Wedding Photographs

I find a lot of meaning in my work, which isn't something I necessarily anticipated.  I was mostly looking for a creative career, where I could have control over my life and schedule and not be limited to a 9-5 Monday through Friday.  Taking photos of peoples lives means a great deal to me now, being able to take photos of people who love each other, as well as they're entire communities, is something so intimate and beautiful, it really fulfills me beyond being a creative outlet.

There's an extra level of meaning when I know the people, and that's absolutely the case with Whitney and Mark.  Whitney works at Red Hills Market (the cafe below my office, and the caterer at their wedding), and I consider the employees there basically my co-workers (since I really don't have any), and I see them regularly and get to know them.  So when Whitney and Mark asked me to photograph their wedding it was a really special honor.

Maysara Winery Wedding | Niki + Joe

Niki + Joe both have a such a gentle peacefulness to them.  They felt grounded and oh so enjoyable to be around.  They had their wedding at Maysara Winery, a gorgeous vineyard hidden out in the hills around McMinnville.  My drive to their wedding was spent trying to see the road through hail and very heavy rain.  Mentally I prepared myself for a day of shooting in the rain, considering what indoor/covered locations I could use at Maysara.  I parked my car, the rain still heavy, until about 15 minutes into our shooting time.  The rain then stopped, although the clouds didn't stop threatening rain, but we ended up with a gorgeous day and not another drop of rain.
