If you know western Oregon, you know McMenamins. They have crazy locations, and by crazy, I mean crazy awesome. Giant estates with tons of out buildings turned into cigar bars, and whisky lounges, and etc.... etc... etc....
The Cornelius Pass Roadhouse is an awesome location for a wedding (or for hanging out with your homies, as a matter of fact, it's where my son Wellington took his first steps) it has a huge, old, wooden, octagonal shaped barn, which is exactly what it sounds like and it's rad. When I showed up for Halley and Laura's wedding a fire was lit in the wood stove, it was raining outside in typical PNW style, and the barn was super cozy, like a log cabin in the woods, it was perfect.
There's really not a way I can describe the connection and joy that Halley and Laura share. Their wedding day was chalked full of emotion, it was so gorgeous and real, I loved it, and constantly found myself with the tingly feeling, spinning around clicking the shutter on faces full of a wide range of emotion.
