Portland Wedding

The Baker Building Wedding | Lauren + Chris

From the moment I met Lauren and Chris I knew two things. 1.) They were really awesome and I really enjoyed them. 2.) Their wedding would be so awesome and right up my alley. Those first impressions were correct, and I spent such a fun day with them photographing their wedding in Portland two weeks ago.

Portland springs are iffy, what I mean by that is it may downpour, or it may be the most amazing perfect feeling day you can imagine, and luckily Lauren and Chris had the latter for their wedding day, the weather was so perfect out, not too hot and not too cold, and if you’ve never experienced a perfect day in the PNW, just know that you’re really missing out.

What I love about photographing weddings is how present it allows me to be. I’m observing what’s happening so carefully and intently, I’ve never been hunting, but I suppose it’s kind of like that, I’m hunting for special and meaningful moments, and this day was full of them.

Ok, I’ll stop rambling, and let the photos tell the story of their incredible day…

The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club Wedding | Jordan + Jack

I’ve had so much fun working with and getting to know Jordan and Jack. I did their engagement photos out at a gorgeous location in the Columbia River Gorge all the way back in 2019. Remember 2019? Things we’re completely normal then, pre-covid. Then covid came along and Jordan and Jack had to move their wedding from 2020 to 2021, so it just happened at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club. It also happened on the “heat dome” weekend in Portland where temperatures got up over 110 degrees which for Portland is completely wild. The guests and Jorda and Jack had a great time though, and in the end I bet that the extra hot temperatures at their wedding will be a fun and unique memory. Jordan and Jack share an amazing connection. As their photographer I shared a lot of moments with them throughout their day, and I really enjoyed seeing how much they connect and enjoy one another. For me personally, this wedding happening was really hopeful, that things are getting back to normal. This is just a small preview for Jordan and Jack, many more photos to come, but it was an incredible day filled with love.

Blockhouse PDX Wedding | Jenna + Matt

Jenna and Matt are absolutely hilarious.  I laughed so hard with these two, it was a complete giggle storm out there.  They are also incredibly warm and caring people, I saw this in their relationships with their friends and family, and also the way that they treated me throughout the day, I definitely didn't feel like a vendor at all, but like a friend who had brought along a camera.

They had a beautiful wedding at Blockhouse in Portland, a newer and really awesome venue in Portland.  I'll let the photos tell the rest of the story...
