Hoyt Arboretum Family Photographs | Mini Sessions

Back in Mid-September I put on another day of mini sessions in the Hoyt Arboretum, again it was so much fun to see so many people, to meet their new family members in some cases, and to spend some time up in the woods behind my camera in Portland with great people.

The first day was gorgeous and sunny, the second day was incredibly dreary and rainy, we got soaked, but part of the beauty of mini sessions is that they’re only twenty minutes and like I always say “You can survive anything but hot lava twenty minutes.” So far this has proved to be true.

Thank you to everyone who came out! Hoyt Arboretum Engagement Photographs | Katie + Tim

Spent a blast of an evening with Katie and Tim in the Hoyt Arboretum.  I was basically stoked out of my mind the entire time about how cool the light was and how great Katie and Tim interact with each other.  Can't wait to shoot their wedding at Youngberg Hill next year.

The sunshine felt so good on my face.  I was so happy it was out for Hilliary and Kamren's engagement session.  We wandered through the forest at the Hoyt Arboretum, with the sunshine streaming in through the trees.  Hilliary and Kamren live in St Louis, they both work in careers where they work with plants and I so enjoyed hearing their fascination with all of the different types of plants growing in the arboretum.  It was a fun reminder to take notice of all the little things growing all around us.  I feel so lucky to work with such wonderful people from all different places, and I can't wait for their wedding this summer at Vista Hills Vineyard.
