I did sixteen mini sessions over two days in late June, which of course sounds like a ton of shoots, and I was definitely prepared to be really tired afterwards, but to my amazement those two days were very energizing, fun and fulfilling. Wedding photographers share a certain intimate connection with their clients, even though you really only spend a maximum of 10-15 hours together, those hours are filled with basically the entire life of these two people who love each other. You meet their family and closest friends, you watch one of the most intimate and beautiful days of their life, it is no small thing to photograph a wedding.
With that in mind, it was so fulfilling to connect with and see lots of couples who I’ve worked with over the last thirteen years, meet their kids, or see their kids a year older, it was wonderful.
I’m planning on going back to Portland twice a year to do mini sessions, if you’d like to be kept up to date and added to my email list email me at bryan@bryanrupp.com.
I did these mini sessions at the Hoyt Arboretum which is an awesome and beautiful location, and it works great for families, because there’s shelter from rain and so many different and beautiful location options in a close proximity.
Thank you to everyone who participated in my mini sessions, and everyone who has supported me for all of these years, it means so much to me and my family to be able to make a living doing what I love.
Here’s my favorite photos from these two days with these families, this post is way too long, but I just couldn’t narrow down the photos anymore, sorry, not sorry :).
