Megan + Tyler | Idaho Elopement

Megan and Tyler traveled to Idaho from California for their elopement. As soon as they sent me the location for their elopement, I was excited. I had never been to this exact spot before, but from Google Maps, I knew that even just getting there was going to be an adventure, one on dirt and snow packed roads, up in the mountains behind Boise. I wasn’t disappointed. Well actually I would’ve liked more snow, but the cabin they rented was literally the very highest one on the mountain. I scouted the area, with elopements I’m usually the one who gets to choose the ceremony location. The hill rose another hundred or so feet above the cabin, so I climbed up the slippery slope, and loved the view with mountains surrounding us on all sides. I checked with Megan to make sure she was alright climbing the slick hill in her wedding dress, and she was more than happy to. We probably only traveled two hundred or so feet during the entirety of this shoot, but we were still able to get such varied looks by varying the light, positioning and direction we were facing. I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story.

Thank you Megan and Tyler for trusting me to photograph your wedding, and thanks for the adventure.

Zenith Winery Wedding | Jennifer + Josh

I was so excited for Jennifer and Josh to get married. I had met Jennifer years earlier when she was a midwife at the birth center where Wellington (my son) was born, so there was an extra and personal connection for me on this wedding. Jennifer and Josh were married on a beautiful fall day at Zenith Vineyard in Salem. Kat and Emily photographed this wedding and did a stunning job, I’ll let the photos tell the story, because they do a better job than me anyways :).

Jennifer and Josh, thank you so much for trusting us to photograph your wedding and congratulations!

Boise Engagement Photos | Whitni +Nic

Gah, these two make me giggle, and even more than that, they just make me happy to be around them. You can see what a beautiful connection they have in these pictures, and if you feel it in real life, it’s such a sincere and deep connection. I was really inspired by it. I’ll let the photos do the talking since I’m no wordsmith, but we wandered around Hulls’ Gulch (Lower Hulls is one of my favorite trails to mountain bike, fyi) on a perfect summer evening, and here’s what happened…
