The Espana Family

Heather and Mike are awesome, and we're so grateful to be friends with them. We were neighbors with them when we lived in our teeny tiny apartment and since Heather is a photographer, we have lots in common. Between that and Heather and Mike being utterly hilarious, they make for wonderful friends. This fall I got to do a session with Heather's family, and it was so much fun. I see why Heather is such a fun, hilarious person, because her entire family, including her grandparents are all people who love to laugh and make others laugh. Whenever I'm around older people that are really lighthearted and fun, I'm inspired as to what I'm going to be as a grandparent, I hope I'm like Heather's grandparents.

Espana's thank you so much for having me do this session! I had such a great time hanging out with you guys! Happy Monday!

Christina & Chris

I knew Christina and Chris were really kind from the moment I met them, but after their wedding I was blown away. Their wedding had one of the most moving toasts time I'd ever heard, they actually had to put an end to people giving toasts because so many people were speaking about these two. Basically everyone in the place was crying, it was beautiful. There was a line from their ceremony that I really loved, sitting here right now I can't remember it exactly, but basically it was something like, "You're the one that I want to fight with." I thought it was beautiful, because after nearly five years of marriage, I know there's lots of disagreements along the way, but it's all part of the journey and it's an incredible, wonderful journey, even though it's not always easy.

Christina and Chris had their wedding in Auburn California, which meant, YES!, Hannah and I got to travel! I love traveling and I love photography, so it was a wonderful combination. They had their wedding at The Ridge Golf Course. Looking out at the course, their was beautiful long brown grass with green trees places among it, which I couldn't wait to photograph the couple in, until the wedding coordinator warned me about rattlesnakes. Apparently there's lots and lots of them there, so we just went into the grass a little where I could easily see that their weren't any little dangerous friends waiting for us.

Here's the story of their wedding day....

Christina and Chris, thanks so much for having us photograph your wedding! It's been so much fun getting to know you both, and we had such a great time at your wedding!

Sadie & Gabe

I walked away from my first meeting with Sadie and Gabe really hoping they would book me. Not only were they an incredible couple that was amazing and really loved one another, but their wedding was going to have some incredible style. Combine these two things and you've got a fun day of photography for me! Thankfully for me, they did choose to book me and I was able to spend their wedding day capturing the story of their day. They chose to have their ceremony at the old barn in Memorial park in Wilsonville. They chose it not only for style, but also because the barn has a story that has stood time, and they wanted their wedding to be part of that story. I love that this is the reason they chose the barn. I think this explains a lot about Sadie and Gabe, they are beautiful and have great style, but they're also deeply caring people who know what matters in life. Here's the story that they added to the barn...

Sadie and Gabe, thank you so much for having Hannah and I photograph your wedding. I was so thankful when you guys chose me, and it's been such a pleasure getting to know you both!
