Joel (who is a fantastic photographer!), Cherice and Espen are some of Leah and my dearest friends here in Newberg. We're lucky enough to spend lots of time laughing and hanging out with them, but there was something special about taking pictures of them. I got to observe them through my camera and watch all of the beautiful interactions and fun that they share. I walked away from the session really grateful for the chance to spend time with my friends in this way and to have the chance to see them from a different perspective. Here's what we came up with...

Judie & Ty

The first time I met Judie was over the phone, because her and Ty currently live in Wisconsin.  Phone meetings are always a little bit more intimidating than a person meeting to me, but talking with Judie was just like talking with a friend.  She was kind and lighthearted and from that conversation I knew that her and Ty would be awesome and I'd have a great time shooting their wedding. Judie and Ty's wedding was located at The Allison an incredible new resort here in Newberg.  Hooray for Newberg finally having an awesome wedding venue!

Leah's belly is getting a little bit too big to be running around with a giant camera for eight hours, so Hannah our new second photographer (who we'll have a blog post up about soon!) is now shooting with me.  She did a fantastic job on the girls getting ready pictures.

The Allison has a gigantic glass spiral staircase where Judie and Ty saw each other for the first time.  Sweet Nellies provided beautiful flowers for the day.  Ryan Hein of Perfect Memory Special Events kept the dance party going on all night!  I've worked on several weddings with Ryan and he's a great DJ and a rad and hilarious guy to be around.I'll let this photo speak for itself...

Judie and Ty, thanks so much for having us a be a part of your wedding day!  We had a wonderful time and so appreciate you and Ty's kindness and gentleness.
